Procedure

Golden Girl.jpgIf you believe that a retired greyhound is the right dog for you, you can find an up-to-date list of our dogs looking for homes on the homepage of this site.   If any of the dogs catch your interest,  please contact Jenny to arrange an appointment to visit the dog in kennels.

The RGT will only rehome dogs into situations where we believe the arrangement will be suitable for both dog and owner, and in order to help us with this assessment you will be asked to fill out this form.  If possible, it would be helpful if you could print out and fill in the form below before your visit; otherwise please be prepared for our representative to ask you the questions covered on it.

If, after meeting the dog, you would like to offer it a home with you, the next stage will be a home visit by one of the RGT Home Checkers to ensure that your living situation is suitable to accommodate a greyhound.  All being well, you are free to make arrangements to collect your dog and take it to its new home.

In line with RGT neutering policy all our dogs and bitches will be Neutered, will have an in force Vaccination Certificate and will have received a Worm and Flea Treatment. Any Dental treatment needed will also have been addressed at time of Neutering.

We supply you with a collar lead and muzzle plus 4 weeks Free Pet Plan Insurance.   A minimum donation of £150 is requested which is non-refundable.
