SCOTTISH GREYHOUND GATHERING

Registration from 9.30am.

The show will be opened at 10.30am by Mr Ronnie Corbett CBE.

Judging starts at 11 am prompt in all Rings.

 

Entry £2 per class.

Rosettes to sixth place, and a trophy and rosette for Best in Show and Supreme Champion.  

Commemorative rosette for all entries.

   

RING ONE:      GREYHOUND CLASSES

Judge (TBC)                                                                                                 Judging Starts at 11am

 

Class 1:          Best 10 Years and Over

Class 2:          Best 7 - 9 Years

Class 3:          Best 4 - 6 Years

Class 4:          Best Under 4 Years

Class 5:          Best Black Beauty

 

Winners of classes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 go forward to Class 18 'GREYHOUND - SUPREME CHAMPION'

 

RING TWO:   OTHER BREEDS AND CROSS BREEDS

Judge   (TBC)                                                                                              Judging Starts at 11am

 

Class 6:          Puppy (up to 12 months)

Class 7:          Veteran (7yrs +)

Class 8:          Long/Rough Coat

Class 9:          Short/Smooth Coat

Class 10:        Best Lurcher

 

Winners of classes 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 go forward to Class 17 'OTHER BREEDS AND CROSS BREEDS - BEST IN SHOW"

 

The show will break for Lunch .

Classes will resume after Lunch - approximate start no earlier than 1:30pm.

   

RING ONE:       NOVELTY CLASSES FOR GREYHOUNDS AND OTHER BREEDS

Class 11:        Best Fancy Dress - Dog and Handler

Class 12:        Best Family (2 or more dogs owned within the same family household)

Class 13:        Best Young Handler (aged 16 or under)

Class 14:        Handsomest Dog

Class 15:        Prettiest Bitch

Class 16:        Judge's Choice

Class 17:        PEDIGREE AND CROSSBREEDS - BEST IN SHOW

                        Judged from winners of Classes 6, 7, 8, 9, 10

 

Class 18:        GREYHOUND SUPREME CHAMPION

                        Judged from winners of Classes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

   

The show will close at approximately 4:30pm.

In addition to the show classes there will also be shopping, refreshments, entertainment, games and a chance to meet RGT volunteers and greyhounds from across Scotland and the North of England. The house at Manderston will also be open for viewing.
